Public bug reported: Binary package hint: transmission
I downloaded a file from the torrent http://releases.ubuntu.com/10.10/ubuntu-10.10-desktop-i386.iso.torrent. I saved the file to my Desktop. After the download completed, Transmission started seeding the file (I don't know if it actually uploaded any data). I opened the Desktop in Nautilus and the file was not there. I went back to Transmission (never having closed the app) and asked it to verify the download. The file immediately changed to red and said "Error: Can't find local data. Try "Set Location" to find it, or restart the torrent to re-download." Needless to say, this was quite frustrating. This happened within seconds of the download completing and I did no other activities which could have caused the file to be deleted or moved. Transmission version 2.04-0ubuntu2.
