Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: darkice

While there is no problem to start darkice from the commandline, there
is hardly any chance to get darkice run automatically during/after boot
(or suspend-resume).

No matter if one put a command like "darkice -c myconf.cfg" to rc.local,
or if I set up an init.d-script, or a cron-command "@reboot darkice -c myconf",
or comparable,
darkice won't start, and it additionally gives no error-msg.

This behaviour is reported in several forums, and for several ubuntu-versions,
eg.
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=331277
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1642334

A solution is currently missing.

However,
I am running Lucid 64bit.

** Affects: darkice (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
