Public bug reported: Binary package hint: indicator-applet
On earlier versions of Ubuntu, after powering up, a power/battery icon appeared. This provided an indication that the computer was either connected to the mains or a battery with a level indication of how much energy/time was left. In 10.04 LTS , this icon is not present.
