I am able to create an ad-hoc Wi-Fi network, but I have the iwlwifi
driver.
Do you still encounter this bug with Ubuntu 12.04?

For the log I have configured an ad-hoc network. The network allways
started to connect and then was disconnected. And then connected again,
and so on until the nm-applet crashed.

I don'T get this "stupid dialog" each time. But I can't create a adhoc
network either. Also iwlagn. I'm using Ubuntu 10.04 (but tried Ubuntu
10.10 live, too.)
