Thank you for following up.
This bug report is being closed due to your last comment regarding this being
fixed with an update - using a different dependency program with Azureus, as
well as it being marked as fixed under Azureus.

In hardy, azureus depends on openjdk-6-jre, forcing OpenJDK, which does not
have this bug.
However,
AZUREUS_JAVA=/usr/lib/jvm/java-gcj/jre/bin/java azureus
can still trigger the bug, by forcing gij to be used.
If you don't care about gij anymore (since we already have a free jdk
that works),
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been
any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue
for you? Can you try with latest Ubuntu release? Thanks in advance.

This bug seems to be fixed from my testing with 57875, at least from the
Azureus side. Of course the GCJ issue might remain.

Most probably that this bug is a duplicate of bug 57875.
Can you install the latest version of azureus 2.5.0.4-1ubuntu3~gutsy1
which you can install in Linux Ubuntu Gutsy with backport repositories
enabled and confirm if you can reproduce that particular bug?
Thanks for your contribution.

What makes the bug incomplete? BTW, I can confirm it still exists in

Still happening with gij-4.1 in feisty.
You don't need to understand the language to find out it is wrong.
Just open any torrent encoded with any CJK language and you will find that all
those encodings (e.g. big5, gb2312, shift-jis) are missing from the list when
running with gij.
