Public bug reported: Binary package hint: alsa-base
Hi, I have an Asus VX2SE. The audio ports on the laptop work, but the ones on the docking station do not. Here's my ALSA info: http://www.alsa- project.org/db/?f=35eed400425083de4af0f461043a0b151694dec6 cat /proc/asound/card0/codec#* | grep Codec reports Codec: Realtek ALC660-VD Codec: Generic 1543 Si3054 (not sure what the second one is). I've tried setting options snd-hda-intel model= in /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf to 5stack, asus-v1s, 3stack and, of course, auto (found in http://git.alsa-project.org/?p=alsa-kernel.git;a=blob;f=Documentation/sound/alsa/HD-Audio-Models.txt;hb=HEAD ). I even tried asus, which is not listed under 660VD at all. Just to be clear, my computer has built-in speakers, headphone out and line in on the body, and headphone out and line in on the docking station. Appreciate any suggestions you might have. ** Affects: alsa-driver (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: audio docking intel-hda -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/702598 Title: No support for VX2SE docking station audio connectors -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
