Public bug reported: Binary package hint: update-manager
On ubuntu natty alpha1, when the update-manager asks to perform a partial upgrade, the distibution upgrade window runs for a while before displaying the following error information : "Can't install 'ubuntu-desktop' It was impossible to install a required package. Please report this as a bug. " (see screenshot) So here I am.... Though the partial upgrade goes on with lists of package to remove and upgrade, in the list of the package to remove is unity, which seems problematic to me, as I still want to use the ubuntu desktop edition ( and not the ubuntu classic desktop). I don't know if removing unity will prevent me from doing that but I did not see any replacement package on the install list so I am not upgrading from now on...
