Hi,
can you boot with these additional kernel options 'drm.debug=14
log_buf_len=16M', reproduce the bug and attach /var/log/dmesg,
/var/log/messages and Xorg.*.log again?
This should provide more debug output.

I cannot reproduce this crash. I put the laptop in the docking station,
disable the internal display, undock it and the internal display gets
usable again. Putting the laptop back in the docking station does bring
back the external display with the internal display disabled. However,
