Web page should display in same language as selected for system.
After selecting English (my system choice) the page today again defaults
to Polish.

Can you please check, in which language printer's web page is displaying
if you open IP address directly from web page (not from hplip).

Opening printer browser shows in English. After restart FF, browser is
back in foreign language.

you may required to change the settings in printer, like printer language to

The selection for Select is on Left and Cancel on Right.
