Got two APs, tried with different channels, but no luck. And it works perfectly
with my other computers. When the connection drops this line appears in syslog:

While the connection is down I can do a scan, but can't connect to any WLAN

In my case its probably a hardware problem, I installed Windows and I
got the same problem there.

I would check to see if it's because if interference with some other
devices in the area or you may also be too far from the access point.
Does that apply?

I got the same problem om my Dell D520 with Intel Pro 3945. Without
warning my wireless connection drops.
dmesg | grep eth1
[17179618.06] ADDRCONF(NETDEV_UP): eth1: link is not ready
[17179859.528000] ADDRCONF(NETDEV_CHANGE): eth1: link becomes ready
[17179870.268000] eth1: no IPv6 routers

I've got no idea, but i can tell you that the same card is working fine
here, with wpa.
Could well be a local problem, i'm not sure. Or it could be something
with your system. No idea.

for example when I let it open for few hours, then I come back and I
notice that the connection is not here anymore (occured a few times,
aMule was running, no suspend or hirbenating stuff was on).
