Hi,
i have this bug too. I can only shutdown normally when doing it by hand
or without splash.
I am on a lenovo 3000 n100

When shutting down with usplash enable, then I get a disconnected monitor. All
I get is "No signal check cable"

Yes I have the same on my kubuntu (clean install) if using usplash the
machine will not shutdown. However if I remove the usplash it works like
designed, well no usplash. This is from the log out > shutdown menu.
If shutting down from terminal "sudo shutdown -P 0" then it works.
