I actually ended up abandoning Keep completely, so no problems

Yes. But I haven't gotten around compiling a debugging package of keep
yet as one did not exist. If no one else has this bug I do not really
want to put effort in it as it turned out Keep does not fullfill my
backup needs well enough anyway.

Unfortunately that link only gives the repository for debug symbols for
things in edgy and feisty. I'm on Dapper and currently not interested in
upgrading. Do you know where I can get the relevant packages for Dapper?
