plasma-netbook to grow a setting so that one can deactivate the contacts
search (thus preventing akonadi from getting started). When such a
setting becomes available I am all for deactivating the contacts runner
by default mak
plasma-netbook has a contacts browser which uses the contacts runner, so
removing akonadi will break that feature. Consequently I am not sure
allowing this is an all that good idea.
