The gio module is part of python-gobject and applet.py is from system- config-printer-gnome which depends on python-gobject, so it is not a dependency problem. Perhaps some files are corrupted. Try sudo apt-get install --reinstall python-gobject ** Changed in: system-config-printer (Ubuntu)
