I have the same issue - and I've been trying to report it for ages but the Launchpad janitor kept closing it. For me in a normal unity session it results in a reduced graphical interface and the only solution is to log out and back in again to reload gnome settings daemon. -- You received this

I just got it with Oneiric also after all latest updates today. I noticed that there were three wifi icons at the top of the screen in Gnome. (having trouble with unity and fglrx but that is a different story). On hovering over the icons it became clear that the menus beneath them were ok
