Hi all,
I tested this on the XPS 1340, and the 3.0.0-16 kernel from Oneiric

Hi,
I just confirmed that installing the 3.0.0-16 kernel from updates on an
Oneiric system (nothing except the kernel was upgraded) fixes this
problem on the Vostro V13.
Thanks!

We have just rebased to upstream v3.2 final and uploaded, see

marking the Precise linux task as Fix Released based on comments 18, 19,

Hi,
A "final" patch that will apparently be submitted by the linux-input
maintainer for inclusion in the stable/mainline kernel is here:
http://www.spinics.net/lists/linux-input/msg18496.html
I tested this on the Vostro v13 and it solves the problem described
here.

@Ara,
I installed and tested 11.04 with kernel 2.6.38-8. It exhibits the same problem.
I then went all the way back to 10.04.3 with kernel 2.6.32. The problem is NOT
present.
I didn't test 10.10 with kernel 2.6.35.
Also, the linux-input maintainer sent me a patch which I tested and

Daniel, was this working fine in Ubuntu 11.04?

Yes, it appears that bugzilla.kernel.org is still unavailable. One
alternative would be to report this directly to the subsystem maintainer
or to the LKML.

Hi Joseph,
I tried http://bugzilla.kernel.org but it's down (and has been ever
since the kernel.org breach a few weeks ago I think).
I can file this bug, but it looks like I'll have to wait until the bug
tracker is back up.
I'll update once it's done.
Thanks!
