Public bug reported:
the microphone doesn't work on my HP Envy 15 laptop, which has an Intel
IDT 92HD75B2X5 sound card. this used to work on Ubuntu 10.04.
now even though I can set the proper settings in both alsamixer and the
pulseaudio sound preferences, nothing will be recorded on the microphone
input. the pulseaudio sound preferences doesn't show any sound levels
either.
