I cannot because I don't have the broken ~/.gconf/system directory
anymore. I should have used mv instead of rm, but it can't be helped. On
the other hand, if no-one else has the problem then I suppose it "does
not exist".

I removed all gstreamer configurations from ~/.gconf/system and killed gconfd.
It helped. I don't now yet, if I lost anything I'm going to miss. I hope not.

I just wanted to confirm this bug.
The package is sound-juicer 2.16.1-0ubuntu1 on Edgy.
After upgrading to edgy from dapper I lost all profiles in sound-juicer.
It still shows 4 profiles but the data within is bogus.
I didn't get a segfault though, but wav files.
