I reckon this bug is fixed with this merge
https://code.launchpad.net/~cjcurran/indicator-sound/pulse-proper-error-handling/.
I was not handling properly the edge case of a pulse callback having a
negative eol and null pointer.
Should be fixed in release 0.6.2 (available from Thursday)

I might add that have an snd-usb-audio device connected. I thought that
I saw someone else using usb audio stuff.
I don't see any things that does not work thought, only the message at
login.
