Robin, please file a seperate bug report. These kind off bugs are very
machine/hardware specific and shoudn't be united unless you have a bug

I have the same problem with Ubuntu Feisty. My video card is ATI Radeon
Xpress 200M. Whenever I try to logout, my system irrecoverably hangs. I
have seen the same problem reported in other threads. They need to be
united, but I don't know how that's done.
