Binary package hint: gnome-applets
I suggest to add the following character list in the base configuration.
It would improve Gnome usability for french-writing users as it provides
all the characters from the french language which are not printed on a
fr_FR keyboard.

By the way, the characters "œ" and "Œ" are in none of the standard
lists.
