My version of Chromium has been upgraded to 10.0.648.127 (76697) Ubuntu
10.10 but the problem still occurs. Anyone can confirm this?

This bug still occurs randomly. If you're trying to recreate it, open
several tabs in one window then drag one out of the group. Maximize the
newly created window and try to drag back the tab to the original group.
It won't.
