Also experiencing this problem with 04282011 AMD64 Desktop LiveCD.
Tracing the ubiquity process gives the following.
Process 17136 attached - interrupt to quit
restart_syscall(<... resuming interrupted call ...>) = 0
wait4(17140, 0x7fff10d558cc, WNOHANG, NULL
Seems to have the same problem with 20110222 AMD64 livecd, except I
don`t have a wget process that is zombie.
