I just checked to see whether this issue is still present, and the manpages in
lvm2 2.02.95-4ubuntu1 on Ubuntu 12.10 contains the following section:
-r, --resizefs
Resize underlying
The man page in version 2.02.66-4ubuntu3 in Ubuntu 11.10 does not seem
to mention this option either.
