casper 1.259 should mostly have fixed this by making /media/cdrom a
symlink to /cdrom, but I've also committed a change for 1.260 to hit
this with a different hammer as well just to make sure.

apt-cdrom doesnt' seem to add packages shipped on live media when
starting up from a live USB disk. It works fine when booting from a dvd
disc though.
This worked fine in maverick, it's used to install packages in the live
envir

is present there.
