In the future, in the case of the kde autounmounter, would should have
an option on the gui that gets to the effect of "Remove this device
anyway". If the requires killing the processes, thats okay.

Hi, thanks for bug report and sorry for the delay.
I've copied a ttf file to a usb key and reproduced your problem
here my fuser result :
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ fuser -v /media/disk/*
USERPID ACCESS COMMAND
/media/disk/webdings.ttf:
gza 2075
After some testing, I see that kio_thumbnail eventually exits after about
7 minutes. Only after that, safely remove work again.
