Can this bug be confirmed when *NOT* using XFS on the /root or /boot
partitions?
Unless I am mistaken, the ubiquity log file indicates that XFS was used
in this instance. If this is true, then this is probably a duplicate of
bug #8058.

I can confirm that bug. In my case it occurs both on GUI installer and
on text-mode installer. On GUI I have exactly the same error message.
I'ts probably not the matter of free disc space because there is still
about 500mb of free space after the failed installation. I was
installing Xubuntu on
