Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xchat
On starting a new instance of xchat, it first asks for the server name. After selecting the server, it connects to the server and then opens a "Connection Complete" window, where we need to select a channel or type channel name. I noticed that, after entering the channel name in the text field, I should be able to join the channel after hitting the enter key. But instead, it requires hitting the enter key twice for the same to happen. I am running Ubuntu 10.10 uname -a: Linux 2.6.35-27-generic #48-Ubuntu SMP Tue Feb 22 20:25:29 UTC 2011 i686 GNU/Linux XChat: 2.8.8 ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 10.10 Package: xchat 2.8.8-1ubuntu1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.35-27.48-generic 2.6.35.11 Uname: Linux 2.6.35-27-generic i686 NonfreeKernelModules: fglrx Architecture: i386 Date: Thu Mar 3 20:35:01 2011 ExecutablePath: /usr/bin/xchat InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 10.04 LTS "Lucid Lynx" - Release i386 (20100429) ProcEnviron: LANG=en_IN SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: xchat XsessionErrors: (nautilus:1864): GConf-CRITICAL **: gconf_value_free: assertion `value != NULL' failed (nm-applet:1865): Gdk-CRITICAL **: IA__gdk_window_thaw_toplevel_updates_libgtk_only: assertion `private->update_and_descendants_freeze_count > 0' failed ** Affects: xchat (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-bug i386 maverick xchat -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/728498 Title: In the initial "Connection Complete" window, channel should be joining the channel requires hitting Enter key twice. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
