Im on Edgy 6.10 and Mozilla Firefox just shuts down and goes away
without warning, every now and then it will lock up and crash which then
it gives me the nice prompt for a bug report. But, you describe the same
problem as me.

Thank you for your comment, however this bug report is closed until the
reporter reopens it, can I please ask you to open a new bug report, this
way we can isolate each issue separately.

The problem no longer persists...
My installation was an upgrade from dapper to edgy.
After talking to some friends of mine, I decided to reinstall the OS
from scratch, and this problem (along with others) magically
disappeared...
I suppose the problem was
