This may or may not end up being adjustable from the GUI in Natty, but
there will definitely be an easy way to change it if you are not
scared of editing text files.

I am happy there will be at least some way to switch them off. Nevertheless
I think having a GUI checkbox would be better, I might not be the only one
who would appreciate more space in launcher, and secondly, editing
/usr/share/unity/places will surely requiere root
