bcmwl-kernel-source is for: BCM4311-, BCM4312-, BCM4313-, BCM4321-, BCM4322-,
BCM43224-, and BCM43225-, BCM43227- and BCM43228
Though they are differe

sudo apt-get install firmware-b43-installer solved it for me.
After that, no need to run Jockey as wireless networks were then
available (perhaps after a reboot, I can't rem
Acer Aspire 5005, BCM4318 [AirForce One 54g].
For me solution is working only with commented out "blacklist bcm43xx"
thing in /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf.

sudo apt-get install firmware-b43-installer
JC Martin's solution worked...I was immediately notified of newly
available hardware drivers. It installed it and I immediately was
connected to my router.

network. The wired lets me install firmware-b43-installer from the
