Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gdm
In the gdm selector for choosing the session type, there is the text "Ubuntu Classic Session (no effect)" which would be better written as "Ubuntu Classic Session (no effects)" or "Ubuntu Classic Session (effects disabled)". The phrase "no effect" denotes that something doesn't do anything (since it has no effect), which can confuse the user as to what purpose that option serves. The plural is more clearly indicative that the login option will disable desktop effects. I personally think that "effects disabled" is a pretty clear wording. ** Affects: gdm (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/730382 Title: Change "no effect" text to "no effects" or "effects disabled" -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
