A random password makes more sense.
So I could have reset that password at the mysql end as an alternative.
Thinking back, I may well have installed mysql first.
In that case, perhaps the mythtv install should have requested the existing
mysql root password.

wmqY0wC4 isn't the encrypted password, it's the plaintext password that
is generated upon install. I wonder why it wasn't set as the password
though.
