/usr/lib/pymodules/python2.7/ubuntuone-client/ubuntuone/platform/linux/unity.py
and add
use_libunity = False
after the try: except block
Problem seems somehow related to libunity which canĀ“t be loaded?!

I tried another method. I unselected ubuntuone from applications at
startup. then i restarted my netbook, it worked great!. i just got one
notificacion when i opened banshee.

As a temporary measure,
change status of ubuntuone-syncdaemon to Stop Process (not End or Kill Process)
by gnome-system-monitor, then notifications will stop.

After installing updates on 2011-03-08 these notifications of Ubuntu One will
just not stop appearing.

"the alpha 3 is unusable because these notifications of Ubuntu One will
just not stop appearing. So far I have 54 of them open within 5 minutes
