I think this Bug needs a bit of discussion :-) firstly, I could not reproduce a general dead key problem on several gutsy and hardy (32 bit and 64 bit) machines with a clean german install. The standard keyboard for german is always "generic 105 keys", and typing "^" + "a" will correctly produc
