Title:
no audio with linaro-ubuntu-desk
Sound works on Beagle-xm with latest Linaro kernel and stock ALSA
userspace. The mixer controls for the output jack on the board are the
"Headset" ones.
There is a possibility that bug #760919 is involved here, suggest trying
the workarounds or patches mentioned there.

On my Xm. I booted up the alip image from the current beta.
I tested out my power speakers. Other devices are able to power them.
I have tried aplay. Nothing.
I installed the xfce-mixer upped the various nobs and selections across
the board.

This is probably a case of the outputs being muted, check using
alsamixer.

It might be worth trying just aplay from the console, try to see if the
problem is coming from alsa side or pulse. What does cat
/proc/asound/cards say?
