I am not able to reproduce this in the latest development version of
Ubuntu, Quantal Quetzal. Can you please confirm that this bug is still

I had this same problem on mcrypt on FreeBSD, which apparently has
OpenPGP format as default. I tested it on my Ubuntu Intrepid
workstation, I didn't have this problem untill I used --openpgp:
MCRYPT_KEY=blaataap mcrypt --openpgp < k.tar >a

I experience this bug, too, and it makes it impossible for me to execute
my backups. I attempted to compile mcrypt from source, using both apt-
get source AND the Sourceforge tarballs, and experience it in all of
them.
