On Natty Beta 2, with latest updated, the issue appears to be resolved,
i.e. the Universal Access Preferences icon in GDM is now the right one.

#741385 doesn't cover this. That relates to a bug in ubuntu-mono which
has been fixed, and an issue with libappindicator which can't possibly
affect gdm. I upgraded to natty from maverick only after the fix to
ubuntu-mono had already been released, so I never had the problem with
broken icons in
