Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-media
MacBookPro6.1 with Natty (dev. branch 2011-03-26) and gnome-sound- recorder 2.32.0-0ubuntu6. Other applications, e.g. gtk-recrordMyDesktop, record from the internal mic just fine. gnome-volume-control also shows feedback that a signal is coming from the internal mic when speaking. gnome-sound-recorder does not pick this up, however. Rather the recording is silent, no static, nothing garbled, simply no signal at all.
