You could run software-properties-gtk to edit the Software sources
without starting Update Manager, Software center or Synaptic, and you
could also edit the /etc/apt/sources.list file manually.

How do I do that? I searched for and found software-properties-gtk, but
opening it led me to the programming code.
It is my first couple of days with Ubuntu. Do I need to use the

I re-installed Ubuntu 10.10 (32-bit). Then, I used the correct address
for Tor. I had to open System Tools Root Terminal to open software-
properties-gtk, which led to the menu window for Synaptic Package
Manager that didn't work before. I couldn't be sure it would be able to
