Public bug reported:

The latest kernel in Feisty will not boot on my machine. It hangs with
the following message:

 USB HC reset timed out!
 can't start
 startup error -1
 init 0000:00:0b.0 fail, -1

The system is an Athlon XP 2000, with PATA disk drives running off an
Abit KR7A-133 motherboard's on-board controller. The USB (ver. 1.1) and
PATA controllers on the motherboard were manufactured by VIA, which I've
noticed is popping up in other bug listings from Feisty's kernel.

** Affects: linux-source-2.6.19 (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: Unconfirmed
