I've just reopened this bug because I have the same problem (with
Lucid). I'm running a webdav server on https and am trying to open a
document with OO.org (other files work fine!)
Apache sees a request: PROPFIND /_dav/test/contacts.ods HTTP/1.1 207 1178 -
gvfs/1.6.0
However, I get an error

@Mike, Z: If you cannot even access the webdav share, then it cannot be
the same issue, because the original poster was able to browse the

I´ve got exactly the same issue, but it´s not anyhow related to OpenOffice.org.
I cannot access my webdav share on who.hasfiles.com service.
It asks for password again and again. Cancelling this shows the following error
message:
Can't display location
Does this bug still affect you on Ubuntu hardy with OOo
1:2.4.0~rc2-1ubuntu3? The smb related bug appears to be fixed but I have
no webdav server to test the webdav support.
