Nice catch. I see the same thing. After I returned to workspace 1 and
tried to start a terminal from the launchbar compiz crashed but
restarted.
btw there is no indication anywhere on what workspace i am.

I see this constantly with new windows when I'm on workspace 3 or
workspace 4. On workspace 1 and 2, windows seem to appear properly under
the top bar.
