Are there any news on the bug? It still happens, now with pidgin- libnotify 1.3. It's also independent on the window-manager and occurs under both Metacity and Compiz Fusion. -- raise the window https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/75372 You received this bug notification because you are a member of

could this be caused by the fact that the gtk_window_present() is called in a window inside another window? because note that normally gaim puts every chat window inside tabs in another window... -- raise the window https://launchpad.net/bugs/75372 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list

It might be unrelated, but gossip also exhibits this behaviour. When clicking on a notification, a conversation window gets open, but it does not get the focus and remains in the background flashing on the panel. -- raise the window https://launchpad.net/bugs/75372 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list

Definitely i don't think it is a gaim-libnotify stuff. The source code is right: 1) If you click on action ('Show' button), it calls present(), which calls gtk_window_present(). 2) If you click on anywhere on notification, it closes itself. I guess you belong to the first option above. In

I've looked at gaim-libnotify source and didn't found anything strange. Everything looks normal... I use this plugin (in edgy, same version of you, but got it from source), and i noticed a strange behavior which window icon in taskbar blinks but the window itself don't raise. This issue happens
