I got hte same issue with the official natty drivers. But even also with xorg-edgers ppa. Current packages here: xserver-xorg-video-intel 2:2.15.0+git20110714.212fa986-0ubuntu0sarvatt~natty linux-image-3.0.0-5 I'm using gnome-shell, but happens also on unity and metacity (non accelerated). The
