I have what seems to be the same issue, except that -- regardless of how
I start it -- emacs doesn't appear in the launcher. I've even tried
explicitly addding 'emacs23.desktop' to the gconf setting string, to no
effect. (This is on Ubuntu 12.04).

Well in fact I can start it by hand but I want it to have the shortcut
Win + 2 to go to emacs applications, If I start emacs by hands it will
