Public bug reported:

The removal process for the `samba` package requires update-inetd, so it
failed the first time, and got stuck in a bad state. I had to manually
install the update-inetd package with dpkg, and then I could reinstall
samba before finally removing it successfully.

Sooo, samba needs `update-inetd` added as a dependency, or the package
needs to be modified so as not to require it.
