reyammer, that's right. And I used your fix, and I can confirm, that wicd works flawlessly in the indicator area, starts up automatically after logging in, and connects to networks, and for me all is fixed. I think it should whitelist itself automatically after installation. -- You received

This is not a wicd issue. In order to show the wicd indicator, you should first put wicd in the unity systray panel whitelist. Check how to do this at https://bugs.launchpad.net/wicd/+bug/761326/comments/2. Let me know if you have problems with those steps. I'm setting this bug as invalid,
