If you're using precise, you should switch to elementary-xfce-dark
(elementaryXubuntu-dark is only here for upgrades from oneiric and
earlier, it's not really maintained anymore).

what icon-theme are you using?
we're specifically shipping bright dropbox icons in elementaryXubuntu (default
xubuntu icon theme), but to be honest since i never used dropbox i can't say
much about it specifically (meaning: i never tested it personally).
