Could this be related to the ath9k driver? I have another laptop which
uses the ath5k driver and that works fine with rsync.

driver ath9k is too slow
Think this is what I am getting when I try to rsync a load of files to
my netbook - Acer Aspire D250 - after upgrading to Kubuntu 11.04. The
netbook has an Atheros AR5B95 wireless module. If I bring up network
manager, it shows that the connection speed has dropped to 0/0 and the
only way to get
Kernel driver in use: ath9k
